Shira Lazar is an Emmy-nominated digital culture expert, keynote speaker, and mental health advocate with over 1 million followers across platforms. As the founder of What’s Trending, a pioneering digital news brand with 3+ million followers, she has been shaping the creator economy and social media trends for two decades.

Together, they also co-authored The JOMO Journal: A Daily Practice for the Joy of Missing Out. This work led to the launch of Creators 4 Mental Health, an initiative focused on bringing mental health tools to the creator economy through events and community programming.

Building her own brands has led her to also advise and consult with companies looking to make an impact through emerging tech. She shares her insights in AI and the creator economy in her weekly newsletter, The Alpha. She also hosts a weekly audio/video podcast called The AI Download, exploring the future of AI and culture.

Jordana Reim
Founding Advisor

Jordana Reim helps people reconnect to peace, purpose, and presence through meditation, sound, and mindfulness coaching. A former award-winning executive producer in New York and Los Angeles, she left the entertainment industry to study mindfulness and healing across Thailand, India, Nepal, and Bhutan—work that now informs everything she teaches.

As founder of Sukha Sound Healing & Meditation, she offers sound-healing trainings and therapeutic experiences designed to regulate the nervous system and awaken self-healing. In partnership with Shira Lazar, she co-founded Peace Inside Live and supported the launch of Creators 4 Mental Health, a movement uniting creators and leaders to destigmatize the importance of mental-health.

Her workshops and retreats have supported teams at Spotify, HBO, and Capital One, and her writing includes Inner Peace: A Guided Meditation Journal for Beginners and with Shira, The JOMO Journal: A Daily Practice for the Joy of Missing Out. Her library of guided meditations have helped over one million people with anxiety and sleep issues.

Mychal Threets

  • Instagram

Mychal Threets is a librarian, literary ambassador, and the library’s number one fan (according to himself, admittedly). He grew up in Fairfield, CA, right between Sacramento and San Francisco. He was raised in his local library as a home-school kid.

He got his first library card at the age of five and was hooked on libraries from there. He got his first library job as a library shelver at the library he grew up in and worked his way up to become Supervising Librarian of that very same library.

He is very open about his mental health. He talks about it in hopes that it’ll help others in their mental health journey. He is adamant about encouraging people to believe him when he says he’s happy they are here.

He considers it an honor to the library people who raised him that he is a recipient of the 2023 “I Love My Librarian” award from the American Library Association, one of School Library Journal’s 2024 Movers and Shakers, and one of TIME Magazine’s 2024 Next Generation Leaders.
